Ratificatioun of the kingis majesties acquittances to the burrow of Dundie
Oure soverane lord, in presence of the estaitis of this present parliament, ratifies, apprevis and for his hienes and his successouris perpetuallie confirmis the acquittance and discharge grantit be his hienes, with avise of the lordis of secreit counsaill and of his hienes comptroller, to the provest, baillies, counsaill and communitie of the burgh of Dundie and thair successouris off the sowme of tuentie thousand pundis as that pert of his hienes tocher quhilk wer deponit and put in thair handis be the said comptrollair in his majesties name, and of the haill byrunnis of the yeirlie proffite of the said sowme off all yeris and termes preceding the dait heirof; granting thairwith lykwayis the contract and appointment maid permanent betuix the said comptroller in his hienes name on the ane of pert, and certane commissionaris of the burrowis of this realme on the uther pert, of the dait the [...] day of Julii jM vC fourscoir ten yeiris, to be fulfillit and kepit in all pointis conforme to the tennour thairof be the saidis provest, baillies, counsaill and communitie of the said burgh for thair pertis, as the samyn acquittance and discharge of the dait the sextene day of Maii lastbypast at mair lenth proportis; togidder with all and sindre pointis, articles, circumstances and conditionis mentionat thairintill, willing, granting and declaring that this present ratificatioun salbe als valide and effectuall as gif the foirnamit acquittance and discharge wer word be word ingrossit in this present act; anent the quhilk, and all defaltis and defectis that may follow thairupoun, his majestie and estaitis foirsaidis be thir presentis dispenses for evir.
