Act in favour of the Lord Levingstoun

Oure soverane lord and estatis of this present perliament, understanding that Francis, sumtyme erle of Arroll, is addettit to Alexander, lord Levingstoun in dyvers great sowmes of money restand awand be the said Frances, sumtyme erle of Arroll to him as propre dett, and als that the said Alexander, lord Levingstoun standis obleist as cawtioner and souertie for the said Frances, sumtyme erle of Arroll for payment of grit sowmes of money to sindrie persouns and for warrandyce of certane landis and anualrentis sauld and annaleit be the said Frances, sumtyme erle of Arroll of befoir, swa that the said Alexander, lord Levingstoun, be the dome and sentence of foirfaltour gevin and pronuncit in this present perliament aganis the said Francis, sumtyme erle of Arroll, sall incur and sustein grit skaith without tymous remeid be provydit. And oure said soverane lord and estaittis, being of mynd that the said Alexander, lord Levingstoun be not prejugit be the said foirfaltour; thairfoir, and for remeid thairof, oure said soverane lord, be the counsaill and advyce of the saidis thre estaittis, in recompance and satisfactioun of the saidis sowmes of money restand unpayit to the said Alexander, lord Levingstoun, and for his releif of the foirsaid cautionarie, findis and concluidis be the tennour of this present act ane infeftment to be maid and grantit to the said Alexander, lord Levingstoun, his aris and assignais quhatsumever heretablie be his heanes in dew forme off all and haill the landis and baronie of Logre, with frie regalitie and privilege of the samyn, with the tower, fortalice, maner place, yairdis, orchardis, mylnes, fischingis, pertis, pendicles, annexis, connexis, tennentis, tennendreis, serrvice of frie tennentis thairof and all thair pertinentis, lyand within the stewartrie of Stratherne and schirefdome of Fyiff, quhilkis pertenit of befoir to the said Frances, sumtyme erll of Arroll and now pertening to oure said soverane lord, fallin and becuming in his heanes handis throw proces and dome of foirfaltour ordourlie led and deducit aganis the said Frances, sumtyme erle of Arroll for certane crymes of tressoun, leis majestie committit be him quhairof he wes convict in this present perliament; and to that effect, oure said soverane lord and estaittis foirsaidis be thir presentis dissolwis the saidis landis, baronie and uthiris perticularlie abonewryttin.
