Act in favour of the burgh of Linlithgw

Oure soverane lord, with the advise and consent of his hienes estaitis of this present perliament, and for his hienes and his successouris, ratifies and approvis the charter of confirmatioun maid and grantit be his hienes in his minoritie and efter his generall revocatioun upoun the xxiiij day of Maii the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir threttene yeris off tua auld infeftmentis grantit of auld be his hienes predicessouris to the burgh of Linlithgw, quhairof the ane is maid of the said burgh with the small custumes and port of Blaknes, the uther of the frie custuming of certane wearis without ony dewtie to be payit thairfoir, as the said charter of confirmatioun in the selff at mair lenth beris; in the quhilk oure said soverane lord hes of new disponit to the said burgh the said port of Blaknes, with the small custumes and liberties, commodities, privilegeis, dignities and immunities quhatsumevir perteningto the said burgh, as the provest, baillies, counsaill and commwnitie thairof and thair predicessouris hes occupiet and possest ofbefoir, as is perticularlie expressit in the said charter, and declaris the said charter of confirmatioun, with the haill pointis, pases, articles and clauses respective contenit thairintill, to be ane perpetuall richt and securitie to the saidis provest, baillies, counsaill and commwnitie of the said burgh and thair successouris in all tyme cuming, and that this present act of ratificatioun be als valide and sufficient as gif the perticuler heidis and clauses of the said charter haid bene exprest and sett down thairintill.
