Ratificatioun to Johnne Levingstoun of Abircorne

2Oure soverane lord and estaitis of this present parliament, having sene and considderit ane charter and infeftment of fewferme maid and grantit be his hienes efter his lauchtfull and perfite aige, compleit and generall revocatioun maid in parliament, with dissolutioun thairintill for guid causis and considerationis mentionat in the samyne, to his hienes lovit dalie and familiare servitour Johnne Levingstoun, ane of his hienes maistir stabularis for the tyme and sensyne, and now maistir stabuler to his majesties darrest spous, the quene, in recompanse and reward of his lang and continwall faithfull service done be the said Johnne to his hienes umquhile darrest mother in the office foirsaid, and to his hienes self and to his darrest spous foirsaid in the samyn office, settand and in fewferme lattand, with avise of his hienes comptrollair for the tyme, to the said Johnne Levingstoun, his aris maill and assignais quhatsumevir, all and haill his hienes landis and maynes of Abircorne, utherwyis the Halbarnis, with the decayit hous and maner place of the samyn, orcheardis, yardis, coill, coilheuchis, mylne, dowcatt of Abircorne, sey fisching and commoun pasture in the commoun mure of Duntarvie Mure usit and wont, with four akaris of land of the foirsaid manis, quhilkis wer disponit of befoir to the freris of the toun of the Forie in quhilkis the said Johnne is in possessioun presentlie, togidder with that pece of land callit Breid Medow, of all partis boundit with the landis of Duddingstoun with frie ische and entrie to the commoun mure, callit the Mure of Abircorne, alias Halbarnis Mure, with all and sindre thair partis, pendicles and pertinentis, togidder with the astrictit multuris of all and sindrie the cornis quhilkis growis or salhappin to grow upoun the saidis landis and baronie of Abircorne and with Linlithgw schire, quhilkis wer wont to be brocht to the said mylne to be ground thairat in tymes bygane; and alsua togidder with the heretable office of balliarie of all and sindre his hienes landis liand within the said lordschip of Linlithgw schire, with all and sindre fredomes and privilegeis specefiit in the said infeftment, to be haldin of his hienes and his successouris in fewferme heretable for payment of certane maill and dewtie, with augmentatioun thairfoir of the yeirlie dewtie thairof specefiit and contenit in the samyne, under his hienes greit seill of the dait the tent day of October, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir sevin yeiris, and of his hienes regne the xxj yeiris, grantit thairupoun, schauin and producit to his hienes and estaitis of parliament foirsaidis. And his hienes, in consideratioun thairof and of his lang and continwall faithfull service maid as said is, and to gif the said Johnne and his foirsaidis guid occasioun to continew thairintill heirefter, nocht willing thairfoir to alter nor hurt his infeftment foirsaid, bot rather to amplifie and confirme the samyne in all pointis, thairfoir his hienes, with advise and consent of the saidis estaitis of this present parliament, hes ratifiet, apprevit and confermit, like as be this present act, ratifies, apprevis and confermis for his hienes and his successouris perpetuallie the foirsaid charter and infeftment, effect thairof and all pointis, clausis and privilegeis contenit thairintill; and will and grantis and, for his hienes and his successouris, perpetuallie decernis and ordanis that the said charter and infeftment of fewferme wes fra the beginning, is now and salbe in all tymes cuming of strenth, force and effect to the said Johnne Levingstoun, his aris maill and assignais quhatsumevir, off all and sindre the landis, housis, yard, mylne, coilheuchis, fischingis, multuris, offices and utheris particularlie abonewrittin contenit thairintill heretablie in all tymes cuming, nochtwithstanding quhatsumever unioun and annexatioun maid to his hienes or his predicessouris of the samyn in propirtie of befoir; anent the quhilkis his majestie, with advise and consent of the estaitis foirsaidis, planelie dispensis, for making expres dissolutioun to the effect foirsaid, but ony revocatioun or contradictioun quhatsumever to be maid be his hienes or his successouris of the samyne in hurt or prejudice of this present ratificatioun in ony tymes heirefter; and ordanis this present ratificatioun, togidder with the said infeftment of fewferme, gif neid be, to be insert thairintill, to be registrat and insert in his hienes buikis of parliament and to have the strenth, force and effect of ane act and decreit of parliament in all tyme cuming, provyding alwayes that this present ratificatioun onnawayis hurt or prejuge James, lord Lindsay of the Byres, his infeftmentis of ony landis, mylnes, multuris, coillis, coilheuchis and utheris quhatsumevir liand within the baronie of Abircorne, bot that the same remane in the awin strenth and full integritie in all respectis as gif the said ratificatioun haid not bene grantit.
