Ratificatioun to the Lord Dingwall

2Oure soverane lord and estaitis of this parliament haveing sene, red and considderit ane charter and infeftment of fewferme maid and granted be his majestie under the great seill efter his hienes perfite aige of tuentie fyve yeiris compleit, and all his revocationis, baith speciall and generall, to his weilbelovit cousing Andro, lord Dingwell off all and haill the landis, lordschip and baronie of Dingwall, comprehending thairintill dyverse landis, mylnis, multuris, offices and utheris specifiet particularlie in the said infeftment, all unite, annexit and incorporat in the said lordschip and baronie of Dingwall, and gevand and grantand thairby to the said Andro, lord Dingwall and his foirsaidis, the honour, ordour, estait and dignitie of ane frie lord of parliament with all privilegis belanging thairto, as the said charter maid thairupoun of the dait at Halyruidhous, the tuentie fourt day of November, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir ellevin yeiris, at mair lenth proportis; togidder with ane lettre of pensioun maid, gevin and granted thaireftir be oure said soverane lord under the privie seill to the said Andro, lord Dingwall during all the dayis of his lyftyme of the sowme of ane thowsand pundis money of this realme to be yeirlie upliftit furth of the reddiest males, fermes, proffeittis and dewties of his hienes propirtie, and for suir payment thairof, assignand and disponand to the said Andro, lord Dingwall during his lyftyme the haill silver dewtie for the males, fermes, canys, custumes, fischingis and dewties of the saidis landis and lordschip of Dingwell with the pertinentis and utheris thairof abone rehersit, specifiet in the said infeftment of fewferme, as the said lettre of pensioun maid and granted thairupoun of the dait at Halyruidhous, the aucht day of Januar, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir ellevin yeiris, contening also thairintill expres ratificatioun of ane uther former lettre and gift of the said pensioun maid and granted of befoir to the said Andro, lord Dingwall during his lyftyme in maner foirsaid, of the dait the sext day of Merche, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir aucht yeris, bering also sindre uther heidis and privilegis thairin contenit lykwayes at mair lenth proportis. And oure said soverane lord, with the estatis abone mentionat, having sufficientlie tryit and considderit in this present parliament the causis and considderationis specefiit in the foirnamit infeftment and lettres of pensioun quhairfoir the samyn wer granted, and namelie the said Andro, lord Dingwallis trew and faithfull service thairin mentionat bestowit upoun his awin chargis and expensis, alsweill within this realme as in forreyne nationis without the same in oure soverane lordis maist honorable and wechtie effayres, with the furnessing and delyvering be the said Lord Dingwall to his majestie off sindrie precious and fair furringis of dyverse sortis, veray coistlie and princelie, extending to the greit valoris and prices specifiet in the said last gift, thay find and declaris the same to have bene, and to be, of treuth and veritie as is contenit in the foirnamit infeftment and lettres of pensioun, and to tend to the advancement of oure soverane lordis honour and commoun weill of this realme; thairfoir hes ratifiet and approvin and, be the tennour heirof, ratifies, apprevis and confermis the foirnamit infeftment and lettres of pensioun with the haill contentis thairof in all pointis efter the tennour of the samyne, with all that hes followit or may follow thairupoun; and interponis thair decreit and auctoritie thairto, lyk as oure said soverane lord, with the estaitis abone mentionat, findis, decernis and declaris the foirnamit infeftment and lettres of pensioun to have bene lauchtfullie maid and granted, and to have bene fra the beginning and to be in all tymes cuming, guid, valiable and sufficient richtis and titles to the said Andro, lord Dingwall and his foirsaidis, alsweill for bruiking, joysing, using and posseding of all and sindrie the foirnamit landis, lordschip and uthris abonerehersit, specefiit in the said infeftment heretablie and perpetuallie efter the tennour thairof, as also to the said Andro, lord Dingwall him self for bruiking, joysing, ressaving, uptaking and disponing to his awin commoditie of all and haill the yeirlie pensioun abonespecifiet and of the silver dewtie, custumes and utheris abonerehersit assignit for suir payment thairof, yeirlie and termelie, during the said Lord Dingwallis lyftyme, in maner contenit in the foirsaid lettres of pensioun maid and granted thairupoun, and that nochtwithstanding quhatsumever actis of annexatioun, utheris actis of parliament or secreit counsaill, lawis, statutis, constitutionis, decisionis and proclamationis maid, or to be maid or passit in the contrair; and as neid beis, ordanis the foirnamit infeftment of fewferme and lettres of pensioun to be insert word be word in this present act and confirmatioun. And for the mair securitie and causis abonewrittin, oure said soverane lord, with avise and consent of the foirnamit estaitis, of new gevis, grantis, disponis and settis in fewferme to the said Andro, lord Dingwall and his foirsaidis, all and haill the saidis landis, lordschip and baronie of Dingwall, with all and sindre the saidis particular landis and utheris abone mentionat, annexit and incorporat thairinto, specefiit in the said charter, to be haldin of his majestie and his successouris in maner and for yeirlie payment as is thairin contenit, quhilkis oure soverane lord and estaitis foirsaidis haldis as for expressit in this present act; and siclyk as neid beis ordanis ane new charter and infeftment to be maid thairupoun be his majestie under the greit seill to the said Andro, lord Dingwall and his foirsaidis in maner contenit in the said former charter, to be extendit in dew and ample forme with all clausis neidfull, quhilk thay declair salbe guid and sufficient to the effect abonewrittin. And als for the causis abonewrittin, oure soverane lord, with avise and consent foirsaid, off new be this present act, gevis, grantis and disponis to the said Andro, lord Dingwall all and haill the said yeirlie pensioun of ane thowsand pundis with the foirnamit silver dewtie for the saidis males, fermes, canys, custumes and utheris abonerehersit assignit for suir payment of the said pensioun, to be yeirlie and termelie liftit and uptakin furth of the foirnamit landis, lordschip and utheris abone mentionat during the said space, and efter the forme and tennour of the foirsaid lettres of pensioun granted thairupoun in all pointis. And oure soverane lord, with the estaitis abone mentionat, decernis and declaris that the acceptatioun be the said Andro, lord Dingwall of the lettres of pensioun abonerehersit, and ressaving, uptaking and detentioun be him of the silver males and dewties thairin contenit of the said landis and lordschip of Dingwall in payment of the saidis pensioun during his lyftyme, sall nawyis hurt, prejuge nor annull the foirsaid infeftment of fewferme and heretable richt maid and granted to the said Andro, lord Dingwall and his foirsaidis off the foirnamit landis and lordschip of Dingwall, nor sall mak na dirogatioun thairto in ony heidis, pointis, nor contentis thairof.
