Ratificatioun to Schir George Hume of Prymroknowis, knicht
2Oure soverane lord and estaitis of parliament hes sene and considderit ane charter and infeftment of fewferme grantit be Johnne Stewart, sone lauchtfull to Frances, sumtyme erll Bothuill, and commendater of the abbay of Coldinghame, convent and yconomus thairof; as als with consent of oure said soverane lord and of the said sumtyme erll and of certane utheris to Schir George Hume of Prymroknow, knicht, his aris and assignais, off all and haill the landis of Horsley, with thair pertinentis, lyand within the baronie of Coldinghame and schiredome of Beruik, to be haldin of the saidis commendater and convent and thair successouris in fewferme and heretage, as the said infeftment beris; quhilk infeftment, with the seasing and all that hes followit thairupoun, oure said soverane lord and his saidis estaitis hes ratifiit and apprevit and, be thir presentis, ratifies, apprevis and confermis in all pointis, clausis and articles thairof, and the said ratificatioun in this generall forme to be als sufficient as gif the said infeftment wer at lenth insert in thir presentis. And forder oure said soverane lord, with advise of the saidis estaitis, for his hienes and his successouris, declaris and decernis that the said infeftment grantit to the said Schir George and his foirsaidis salbe ane full and sufficient richt to thame for bruiking and joysing of the saidis landis conforme to the tennour thairof, nochtwithstanding quhatsumevir procesis of foirfaltour led, or to be led, aganis the said Frances, sumtyme erll Bothuill, or quhatsumevir sentence or jugement gevin, or to be gevin, aganis the inhabilitie of his aris and posteritie, and speciallie aganis the said Johne Stewart, commendater foirsaid, that thai sall bruik na landis, heretages, rowmes, benefices or possessionis within this realme, and nochtwithstanding quhatsumevir uther reasone that may be opponit aganis the said infeftment and validitie thairof in onywayis.
