Ratificatioun to the young Laird of Polwart and Patrik Murray

²Oure soverane lord, willing that the gift and lettre of pensioun of tuentie chalderis wictuall to be takin furth of the superplus of the thriddis of the priorie of Sanctandrois maid and gevin be his hienes to Patrik Hume, apperand of Polwart, and Patrik Murray, his domesticke servitouris, salbe effectuall in all tyme cuming, with avise of the estaitis of this present parliament, ratifies and apprevis the said lettre of pensioun and speciall assignatioun thairin contenit, of the dait the xviij day of October, the yeir of God j^M v^C fourscoir nyne yeiris, and of new gevis and disponis the same to thame conforme to the former gift in all pointis; and willis, statutis and ordanis that the said lettre of pensioun and assignatioun foirsaid be nawyis hurt nor prejugeit be ony erectioun of the kirklandis of the said priorie in ane temporall lordschip, bot thai peceablie to bruik the same nochtwithstanding thairof and of all uther actis maid in the contrair, to the quhilk thir presentis makis expres dirogatioun. And seing the said pensioun hes bene bruikit and possest be the saidis Patrik Hume and Patrik Murray be vertew of thair said gift, as ane part of the superplus of the thriddis of the said priorie thir dyverse yeris bygane, quhilk was reservit to his hienes and unassignit to the ministrie, thairfoir his hienes lykwayis willis and ordanis that the same sall at all tymes heireftir remane as ane pairt of the said superplus, to be frie of all assignationis maid or to be maid to the ministrie of ony pairt of thair stipendis and of all uther impedimentis that in onywayis may stop or truble thame in the peceable bruiking and joysing of the same.
