2Forsamekle as oure soverane lord in the moneth of Januar the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir aucht yeiris, efter his perfite aige of xxj yeris, gaif and grantit to Schir Johnne Cokburne of Ormeistoun, knicht, and Dame Jonet Hume, his spous, the langer levair of thame tua, and the aris maill lauchfullie gottin or to be gottin betuix thame, quhilkis failyeing, to the said Schir Johnne, his aris maill and assignais, all and haill the baronie of Ormeistoun, with annexis, connexis, partis, pendicles thairof speciallie mentionat in the said infeftment quhilk procedit upoun the said Schir Johne his awin resignatioun in oure said soverane lordis handis for the said new infeftment to be grantit in frie blench, quhair as the saidis landis and baronie wer haldin of befoir be service of ward and releif, and siclyk be the said new infeftment the advocationis, donatioun and richt of patronage of the paroche kirk of Ormeistoun is unite and annext to the said baronie, as the said infeftment at mair lenth proportis. And oure said soverane lord and his saidis estaittis of parliament, having consideratioun of the guid, trew and thankfull service done to his hienes be the said Schir Johnne, in the quhilk he hes bene oftymes imployit sen his majesties coronatioun, to his greit chargis and expensis, haif ratifiet and apprevit and, be thir presentis, our said soverane lord, for his hienes and his successouris, confermis the said infeftment in all clausis and circumstances thairof, ordaning the same to stand in full effect, force and strenth to the said Schir Johnne, his said spous, thair airis and assignais foirsaidis in all tyme cuming, nochtwithstanding of the change of the ward service in frie blenche and richt of patronage, and nochtwithstanding of quhatsumevir revocationis maid be oure said soverane lord befoir the dait heirof.
