Approbatioun of thair services quha accumpaniet his majestie to Noroway and Denmark
2Oure soverane lord, acknawlegeing and remembring the ernest favour and affectioun borne to his service be ane greit number of his nobilitie and subjectis, speciallie be his trustie and weilbelovit counsallour Johnne, now lord of Thirlestane, his hienes chancellar, quhilkis his majestie upoun the suddane chargit to tak voyage with his hienes, for accumpaneing of his grace to Noroway and Denmark in the moneth of October, the yeir of God jM vC lxxxix yeris, to thair greit chargis and expensis in remaning with his majestie to the moneth of Maii the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir ten yeiris till his hienes returnit within this realme, his majestie and his estaitis of parliament have allowit and, be the tennour of thir presentz, allowis the said attendance, away passing with oure soverane lord, accumpanieng of his grace the tyme of his absence, and returning with his hienes in maner foirsaid, and all and quhatsumevir thingis done be thame in the said voyage fra thair departing to thair returning, for maist acceptable service to his majestie and to his haill realme.
