Eustachius Rooghe

The kingis majestie, nobilitie, counsall and esteatis presentlie convenit, having hard and considderit the overturis maid be Eustachius Rooghe tending to the advancement and augmentatioun of his hienes rentis and revenewis of his croun abone the sowme of ane hundreth thowsand merkis yeirlie be his moyane, diligence and service, hes concludit and resolved according to his awne desire that quhatsumevir commoditie and proffitt his majestie sall ressave be his said moyane and service salbe appropriat to the croun and revenewis thairof and annext thairto perpetuallie for his majestie and his successouris, and that his hienes thesaurair or his depute, present and to cum, salhave intromissioun thairwith in his majesteis name and to his use, and nawayes applyit nor disponit according to his accustomat liberalitie to ony his hienes favouraris or domestique servandis, deduceand and allowand allwayes the tent pairt of the said proffitt to the said Eustachius, his airis and the narrest of his blude, quhethir thay be men or wemen, quhilk his majestie, with avise of the saidis lordis, gevis and disponis, with titlis of honnour correspondent to this, his service, appointing the same in memorie thairof to remane with him and his posteritie for evir; quhilk tent parte and all uthir guidis, geir, gold, silver, landis, possessionis and utheris quhatsumevir purchest and to be purchest and conqueist be him sall remaine with him and his airis and the narrest of his blude, quhethir thay be men or wemen as said is, for evir, unsubject to confiscatioun or forfaultour for ony caus, cryme or offence quhatsumevir, and the punmishment onlie tobe extendit to thair persone according to the qualitie of the offence; for assureance quhairof and of all and sindrie the premisses for his majesteis parte, his hienes hes ordanit the commissionaris of his burrowis tobe convenit with all convenient expeditioun, quhairthrow thay may be moved to cum cautionaris to this effect. Attour, his majestie promittis to caus justice and punishment be execute on the personis quhilk cruellie murtherit and slew umquhile Nicolas Wanraust, servand to the said Eustache, in his majesties service, that be the example thairof he may have the bettir assuirance of his awne lyffe and not tobe troubled nor hinderit now in this, his hienes service.
