Anent accusatioun in crymes of tressoun
2Forsamekle as the cryme of tressoun is maist odious and deservis the heichast punisement in all personis culpable thairof, sa on the uther pairt the malicious accusaris of innocent personis ar not to be creditit bot severlie puniest, thairfoir it is statute and ordanit be or soverane lord and thre estaitis of this present parliament that quhaevir accuisis ane uther persoun of tressoun, the pairtie calumpniat being callit, accuisit and acquite of the said cryme of tressoun, his accuisare sall incur the same cryme of tressoun quhairof he accuisit the uther.
