Pacificatioun to Schir Johne Maitland of Thirlstane, knycht

Oure soverane lord, for diverse and guid considerationis moving his hienes tending to the quietnes of his realme and universall obedience thairof, hes gevin and grantit and, be the tennour heirof, gevis and grantis to Schir Johne Maitland of Thirlstane, knicht, his hienes secretare, the like favour, grace, privilege and benefite of pacificatioun concludit at Perth, the xxiij day of Februar, in the yeir of God jM vC lxxij yeiris, and ratefeit and apprevit in parliament haldin at Edinburgh in the moneth of Aprill nixt thairefter in the yeir of God jM vC lxxiij yeris, and willis the samyn be als amplie extendit2in his favouris in all respectis, conditionis, clausis, circumstanceis and privilegeis thairof as gif the said Schir Johne had bene expreslie comprehendit thairin; and also we will and grantis that the same pacificatioun be maist amplie interprete and extendit to him in all clausis thairof that may tend to his securitie, notwithstanding of ony restrictioun or limitatioun comprehendit thairin, and speciallie that the samyn be sufficient to rescind, retract, casis and annull, likas his majestie be thir presentis retratis, casis and annullis the proces and dome of foirfalture led and pronuncit aganis the said Schir John for quhatsumevir crymis of quhatsumevir wecht, committit, done or assistit be him in ony sort, and to restore and reintegrat the said Schir Johne aganis the samyn, siklike and als frelie in all respectis as gif the said proces of foirfalture had nevir bene led and dome of foirfalture had never bene gevin nor pronuncit againis him; and will and grantis that thir presentis be als sufficient and valiable in all respectis as gif everie claus of the said pacificatioun had bene heirin contenit and expreslie comhendit, quhilk his majestie haldis heirin for expressit, fullie rehabiliting, reintegrating and restoring the said Schir Johne to his same honour, heretageis, offices, rowmis, takis and possessionis quhatsumevir, the priorie and benefice of Coldinghame onlie exceptit, remitting and for his hienes and his successouris frelie forgeving all crymis, transgressionis and offenceis of quhatsumevir wecht, lesemajestie and utheris committit, perpetrat, done or assistit to be him fra the moneth of Junii, the yeir of God jM vC lxvij yeris to the moneth of November in the yeir of God jM vC lxxiiij yeris, providing alwayis that thir presentis be not extendit to the murthouris of the kingis father and twa regentis.
