Pacificatioun to John, lord Fleming
Oure soverane lord, with avise and consent of the thrie estatis of this present parliament, upoun wechtie and guid considerationis tending to the establissing of peax and quietnes and universall obedience of his hienes auctoritie within this realme, hes gevin and grantit and, be the tennour heirof, gevis and grantis to his weilbelovit cousigne Johne, lord Flemyng, the like favour, grace and benefite of pacificatioun sua that he may bruik and jois the like privilege and conditionis as ar contenit in the pacificatioun maid and accordit upoun at the burgh of Perth the xxiij day of Februar, the yeir of God jM vC lxxij yeris; and hes declarit the same pacificatioun to be als largelie and favorablie extendit and interprete in favouris of the said lord for suirtie of him selff, his lyff, landis, heretageis and possessionis, or as gif he had bene speciallie nominat or comprehendit thairin, or as gif the haill articles, clausis and conditionis of the samyn pacificatioun wer expreslie specefeit thairin; thairfoir, our said soverane lord, with avise of his saidis thrie estatis, hes ratefeit, confermit and apprevit and, be the tennour heirof, ratefeis, apprevis and confermis the foirsaid pacificatioun gevin and grantit to the said Johne, lord Flemyng, in maner abonewrittin, efter the forme and tennour thairof, and decernis the samyn to have full strenth, force and effect in all tyme cumming; and forder declaris the samyn pacificatioun to be extendit als largelie and favorablie to the said lord as to ony uther personis, obtenaris of the like benefite, of befoir, in ony of oure soverane lordis parliamentis preceding, to the effect the said lord may obtene and get siclike possessioun, richt and titill to all landis, heretageis, takis, stedingis, rowmis, possessionis, teyndis and utheris quhatsumevir takis quhilkis pertenit to umquhill Johne, sumtyme lord Flemyng, his fader, at the feild of Carbarrie Hill, as gif he had never bene foirfaltit of befoir; and ordinis the lordis of counsell to direct lettres to that effect in forme as effeiris.
