The benefite of pacificatioun grantit to Issobell and Alisoun Dalyellis

Oure soverane lord, with avise of the thrie estatis of this present parliament, of his speciall grace, and upoun wechtie and guid considerationis tending to the establissing of peax and quietnes and universall obedience of his hienes aucthoritie within this realme, be the tennour heirof, gevis and grantis to Issobell and Alisoun Dalyellis, lawfull dochteris of James Dalyell, burges of Edinburgh, the like favour, grace and benefite of pacificatioun, sua that they may bruik the privilege and conditionis as ar at lenthe contenit in the pacificatioun maid and accordit upoun at the burgh of Perth, upoun the xxiij day of Februar, the yeir of God j^M v^C lxxij yeris, and ratefeit and apprevit sensyne in his hienes parliament haldin at Edinburgh in Aprill, the yeir of God j^M v^C lxxiij yeris, and declaris the samyn pacificatioun to be als largelie and favorablie extendit and interpret in the favouris of the said Issobell and Alisoun Dalyellis for the suirtie of thame, thair lyvis, landis, heretages, rowmis and possessionis, honouris, levingis and utheris thair guiddis as gif they had bene speciallie nominat and comprehendit thairin, or as gif the haill articles, clausis and conditionis thairof wer heirin expreslie specifeit. And for thair better securitie, our said soverane lord, with avise and consent foirsaid, ratefeit and apprevit and, be the tennour heirof, ratefeis and apprevis the foirsaid benefite of pacificatioun gevin and grantit to the saidis Issobell and Alisoun Dalyellis as is abonewrittin, in all pointis, efter the forme and tennour thairof, and declaris the samyn to have full strenthe, force and effect in tyme cumming, notwithstanding the foirfaltour led aganis the said umquhile James, thair father, siklike and als frelie in all respectis as gif thair said umquhile father had not bene foirfalt, and extendis the samyn pacificatioun to the said Issobell and Alisoun, dochteris foirsaidis, as the samyn is extendit to ony uther persoun or personis obtenaris of the like benefits, providing alwayis that the samyn extend not to the murthouris of our soverane lordis father and tua regentis with the crymis of wichecraft and incest, and als but prejudice of the ministeris richtis quhilk they have to the gleib and manse of Sanctcuthbertis Kirk beside the castell of Edinburgh, bot be thir presentis speciallie and expreslie exceptis the samyn, and ordinis the lordis of counsell to directit lettres heirupoun, gif neid beis, in forme as effeiris.
