The benefite of pacificatioun grantit to Johne Mosman, burges of Edinburgh

Oure soverane lord, of his speciall grace, with avise and consent of the thrie estatis of this present parliament, and upoun wechtie and guid considerationis tending to the eslablissing of peax and quietnes and universall obedience of his hienes aucthoritie within this realme, hes gevin and grantit and, be the tennour heirof, gevis and grantis to Johne Mosman, burges of Edinburgh, eldest lawfull sone to umquhile James Mosman, goldsmithe of the said burgh, the like favour, grace and benefite of pacificatioun, sua that he may bruik and enjoy the like privilege and conditionis as ar contenit in the pacificatioun maid and accordit upoun at the burgh of Perth, the xxiij day of Februare the yeir of God jM vC lxxij yeris, ratefeit and apprevit sensyne in parliament in the moneth of Aprill the yeir of God jM vC lxxiij yeiris, and declaris the same pacificatioun to be als largelie and favourablie extendit and interprete in favouris of the said Johne, for the securitie of him, his lyf, landis, guiddis, heretageis, rowmes and possessionis, sua that he may bruik and jois the samyn with all privilegeis and commoditeis siclike and in the samyn maner as his said umquhill fader micht have done befoir his deceis, and restoris and rehabilitatis and makis the said Johne als lawfull to enter be brevis of our soverane lordis chepell to all landis, rowmis and possessionis quhilkis his said umquhile father had of befoir, or quhairunto he may or aucht to succeid as air to his said umquhile father, gevin and disponit to quhatsumevir persoun or personis throw proces and dome of foirfalture led aganis the said umquhile James, his father, as gif he and his said umquhile father had bene speciallie nominat and comprehendit in the said pacificatioun, or as gif the haill articles, clausis and conditionis thairof wer heirin expreslie specifeit. And for his better securitie, lord,2 with advise foirsaid, hes ratefeit and apprevit and, be the tennour heirof, ratefeis and apprevis the foirsaid pacificatioun, gevin and grantit to the said Johne Mosman, in maner abonewrittin, in all formes, efter the forme and tennour thairof, and declaris the samyn to have full effect, strenth and force in tyme cumming, notwithstanding the foirfalture led aganis the said umquhill father, siklike and als frelie in all sortis and respectis as gif the said umquhile fader had not bene foirfaltit, and extendis the samyn pacificatioun to the said Johne, as the samyn is extendit to ony uther persoun of befoir obtenar of the like benefite, providing alwayis that the samyn extend not to the murthouris of oure soverane lordis darrest father and tua regentis, nor to the crymis of wichecraft and incest, bot be thir presentis speciallie and expreslie exceptis the samyn, and ordinis the lordis of counsell to direct lettres heirupoun, gif neid beis, in forme as effeiris.
