Act in favoure of Maistir Johnne Dowglas

Oure soverane lord, with advise of thrie estatis of this present parliament, understanding the report of honest and credible persones that Archbald Dowglas, sone naturall to umquhile James, sumtyme erle of Mortoun etc., is restand awand to Maistir Johnne Dowglas, sumtyme petagog to the said Archbald, the sowme of foure hundreth markis money for certane furnesing maid be the said Maister Johnne to him in the pairtis of France of ane lang tyme past; for payment quhairof, oure said soverane lord, with advise of the saidis thrie estatis, assignis of the first and radiest fructes and rentis and emolimentis of the landis of Pettindreyth and utheris quhatsumevir quhilk pertenit to the said Archbald, or of ony part thairof, the sowme of foure hundreth markis, togidder with the sowme of ane hundreth markis to be payit as said is, for the support and releif of the said Maister Johnne in the lang awayting and sute of payment of his dett foirsaid, and that notwithstanding ony gift, dispositioun or infeftment gewin or to be gewin of the said Archbaldis landis, rowmes or possessiones quhatsumevir, be ressoun of foirfaltour or utherwayes, to Patrik, maister of Gray, Patrik, commendatair of Lyndoris, or ony utheris quhais giftis oure said soverane lord and estatis foirsaidis declaris to have na effect unto the tyme of the compleit payment of the said sowme be maid to the said Maister Johnne; and ordanes lettres of publicatioun to be direct heirupoun, gif neid beis, in forme as efferis.
