Declaratioun in favour off Alexander Hwme of Manderstoun
Forsamekle as at command and expres directioun of oure soverane lord, with advise of the lordis of his hines secreit counsale, Alexander Hume of Manderstoun intromettit with the place of Morhame for apprehensioun of Maister Archibald Douglas, persoun of Glasgw, suspectit and dilaitit in presens of his hines and his said counsale of crymes of tressoun and lesemajestie, and of his lettres and writtis; and thairefter his hines, willing that the said Alexander wer fred and deliverit of the said place, thairfoir his majestie, with advise of his said secreit counsale, ordanit and commandit the said Alexander Hwme to rander and deliver the said hous and place of Morhame, with all the guidis and geir, insycht and plenesing being thairin and intromettit with be him, at his hines directioun and command as said is, to Johnne Calder, Bute pursephant, upoun inventar thairof, to be intercheynable, maid, past and subscrivit betuix thame thairupoun to the effect that the saidis guidis, geir, insycht and plenesing may be furthcumand, as law will; thairfoir oure soverane lord, with advise of his thre estatis and haill body of this present parliament, decernis and declaris that the said Alexander, in his intromissioun with the said place and searcheing of the said Maister Archibald to be apprehendit, hes done his dewty and acceptable service to his hines, and that he, nor the personis assisting him in that deid, sall incur na cryme, pane, skayth or danger thairthrow in thair personis, landis or guidis, nor be callit nor accusit for the samyn criamlie nor civilie be onie maner of way in tyme cuming, exonerand and dischargeand thame simpliciter thairof and of all actioun and clame that may be intentit aganis thame thairfoir be this present act forevir.
