Anent the dischargeing off factoreis
Forsamekle as it is cleirlie understand to the kingis majestie and thre estatis of this present parliament that efter that umquhile James, erll of Mortoun and utheris dissobedient subjectis war atteachit of tressoun and he committit in warde quhill he suld have bene tryit of the same, according to the lawes of the realme, and at the samyn tyme oure said soverane lord gaif sindrie factoreis of the saidis personis levingis to syndry personis, quha not onlie hes intromettit with diverse and sindrie maillis, fermes, profittis and dewteis pertening to thame and hes randerit na compt of thair intromissioun, bot als under pretence of the saidis giftis yit intromettis thairwith, thairfore it is statute and ordanit be oure said soverane lord, with advise foirsaid, that all sic giftis be dischargeit and presentlie dischargeis the samyn and all factoreis gevin to quhatsumever persoun or personis in maner foirsaid, and decernis and declaris the samyn to have na strenth, force nor effect in tyme cuming, and ordanis lettres of publicatioun to be direct heirupoun in forme as efferis.
