2The quhilk day Maistir Robert Creychtoun of Eliok, advocat to our soverane lord, presentit ane summondis of treassoun dewlie execute and indorsate, rasit at the instance of our said soverane lord, his hienes justice and advocat, aganis Archbald, erle of Angus, lord Dowglas etc., Maistir Archbald Dowglas, persone of Glasgow, Johnne Carmichaell of that Ilk, younger, Hew Carmichaell, his sone and apperand air, Malcolme Dowglas of Manis, James Dowglas, sumtyme prioure of Pluscardin, Archbald Dowglas of Pettindreyth, Archbald Dowglas, sumtyme constable of the castell of Edinburgh, Hectour Dowglas, callit Reideckie, George Dowglas of Parkheid, James and George Dowglas, his sones, Johnne Carlell of Bothach and George Home, youngar of Spott, quhairbye thay war summond to have comperit before oure said soverane lord and his hienes justice this instant day, with continewatioun of dayes, to answer to certane pointtis of treassoun contenit in the said summondis, as at mair lenth is contenit in the samyn; and that the foirsaidis persones contenit thairintill particularie abonewryttin war anis, twyse and thryse callit at the tolbuith windo be Lwes Thornetoun, messinger, to compeir and answer to the said summondis, and that the samyn summondis, with the executiones and indorsationes thairof war publictlie red in presens of my lordis comissionaris abonewrittin, and that nane of thame comperit; and siclyke askit instrumentis that he produceit oure soverane lordis lettres gewin under his hienes signet and subscriptioun off the dait the fourtene day of Junii, the yeir of God jM vC fourescoir ane yeiris, quhairbye thay war relaxit fra the proces of horne led aganis thame, and everye ane of thame, for quhatsumevir cryme, caus or occasioun preceding the dait of the said summondis upoun the said fourtene day of Junii be Johnne Broun, messinger, at the mercat croce of Edinburgh, and als be Williame Forsythe, messinger, at the mercat croce of Lanerk upoun the sextene day of the said moneth of Junii as the saidis executiones respective schawin and produceit before the saidis lordis commissionaris proportit; and siclyk produceit Alexander Stobo, messinger, quha, being lauchfullie sworne, prewit and verefeit his first and secund indorsationes of the said summondis, lyke as alsua Johnne Richartsoun and James Burges, witnesses contenit thairintill, prewit and verefeit the saidis twa indorsationes to be trew; and siclyke produceit Johnne Broun, messinger, quha prewit his thrid and feird executiones, lyke as alsua Archbald Connyghame and Alexander Snype, his witnesses insert thairintill, prewit the samyn sufficientlie; and siclyk produceit Stewin Alexander, messinger, executor of the fyft, sext and sewint indorsationes of the said summondis, lyke as alsua Andro' Frank and James Ker, his witnesses insert thairintill, prewit the samyn; quhairupoun the said advocat askit instrumentis and fordar offerit him to preif the ressones and pointtis of his said summondis suffientlie or utherwayes before the kingis majestie and lordis of articles, quhan thay salbe electit and chosin to that effect, and thairupoun alsua askit instrumentis.

4The quhilk day the said advocat produceit ane summondis of treassoun rasit at the instance of our soverane lord, his hienes justice and advocat aganis Andro Gray of Dunnenald and Andro Gray, his sone and apperand air, dewlie execute and indorset, quhairbye thay war summond to compeir this instant day, with continewatioun of dayes, to answer for certane crymes of treassoun committit be thame, as at mair lenth is contenit in the said summondis; and that he instantlie produceit Lwes Thornetoun, messinger, executor of the said summondis, with Williame Duncane and Andro Thomesoun, his witnesses insert thairintill, quha maid faith that the samyn indorsatioun is just and trew in the self as it proportis; and siclyke produceit our soverane lordis lettres, past under his hienes subscriptioun and signet, off the dait the fyftene day of Julii lastbipast, quhairbye the said Andro Gray of Dunnenald and his said sone was relaxit fra quhatsumevir proces of horne led aganis thame for quhatsumevir caus or occasioun preceding the dait of the said summondis, quhilkis lettres was execute upoun the xix day of Julii lastbipast be Lwes Thornetoun, messinger, and thay relaxit thairwith at the marcat croce of Edinburgh and the wand of peax deliverit to thame, as at mair lenth is contenit in the saidis lettres and executiones thairof, to the effect that thay mycht compeir and defend in the said summondis dewlie as efferit; quhairupoun the said advocat askit instrumentis.
