The benefite of pacificatioun grantit to the Laird of Pettadro

Oure soverane lord, of his speciall grace, with avise and consent of the thrie estaitis of this present parliament, and upoun wechtyand gude considerationes tending to the establisheing of peace and quietnes and universall obedience of his hienes auctoritie within this realme, hes gevin and grantit and, be the tennoure heirof, gevis and grantis to Henry Echling of Pettadro that he salhave brouk and enjoy the like grace, favour, privileges and conditis as ar contenit in the pacificatione maid and accordit upoun at the burgh of Perth upoun the xxiij day of Februar, the yeir of God jM vC lxxij yeiris, ratifeit and apprevit sensyne in the parliament haldin at Edinburgh in the moneth of Aprile, the yeir of God jM vC lxxiij yeiris; and decernis and ordanis the said pacificatioun to be als largelie and favorablie extendit in favouris of the said Henry as gif he had bene speciallie nominat and comprehendit thairin, or as gif the haill articles, clauses and conditionis thairof wer in thir presentis expreslie contenit and mentionat, quhilk oure soverane lord, with avise and consent foirsaid, hes ratifeit and apprevit and, be the tennoure heirof, ratifeis and apprevis the foirsaid pacificatioun gevin and grantit in maner abonewrittin to the said Henry in all poyntis, providing alwayis that the samin extend not to the murtheris of oure soverane lordis umquhile dearest father and tua regentis, bot be thir presentis specialie and expreslie exceptis the samyne.
