Charter: confirmation to Sir William Douglas of a gift of 100 librates of land

Robert, etc., to all his good men to whom these present letters shall come, greeting. Know that we have granted to our beloved Sir William Douglas, son of Sir Archibald de Douglas, knight, lord of Galloway, our kinsman, our confirmation in the best form in which it could be made concerning a gift of 100 librates of land, with the pertinents, in the sheriffdom of Roxburgh, which very lands his same father either granted to him already or intended to give him in a brieve. Given under testimony of our great seal at Glasgow at the time of our council held in the same place, on 21 September in the fourteenth year of our reign [1384]
