Anent the declaratioun to the commissaris, how thay sall proceid in beneficiall materis

Item, anent the artikle proponit be the commissaris of Edinburgh, beirand that thair is divers and sindrie beneficiall actiounis depending befoir thame upon the rycht and propirtie of the benefices, quhairin the ane partie hes thair provisioun of the gift of the quene and the uther of the ordinar, partlie be dimissioun in his handis, partlie be collatioun as vacand, and sum gevin be the ordinar, with the quenis confirmatioun thairupon, and that sen the reformatioun of the religioun; and, thairfoir, desyring the determinatioun to be gevin to thame quhilk of the giftis sall have place in tyme bygaine sen the said reformatioun, as alswa in tyme cuming. Our soverane lord, with avise of my lord regent and thre estatis of this present parliament, hes decernit and declairit, and decernis and declairis, that the saidis commissaris sall at all tymes proceid and minister justice in the saidis causis be vertew of all giftis and dispositiounis grantit and gevin be our soverane lordis derrest mother sen the moneth of August, the yeir of God ane thousand fyve hundreth thre scoir yeiris, and na utherwise, and siclyke conforme to the giftis to be grantit be our soverane lord or his regent heirefter; and ordanis all giftis and dispositiounis gevin be hir sen the said tyme to have place and to proceid according thairto, but prejudice to the benefices of the lawit patronageis, quhilkis ar not comprehendit in this act.
