Ratification to [William Keith], lord Keith of his infeftment of the lordships of Dunnottar and Inverugie
Our sovereign lord and estates of parliament presently convened ratify, approve and confirm the charter and infeftment, donation and disposition therein contained, made, given and granted by our said sovereign lord under his highness's great seal of the kingdom of Scotland of the date at Royston, 21 October 1612, to William, lord Keith, master of Marischal, his male heirs and of tailzie therein specified, of all and whole the lands, lordship and barony of Inverugie, specially comprehending therein all and sundry the lands, lordships and baronies, offices, castles, towers, fortalices, mills, woods, fishings, parks, forests, mansions, manors, advocation, donation and right of patronages, benefices, kirks, chaplainries, altarages, parsonages and vicarages, tenants, tenancies, service of free tenants and others particularly and generally specified therein, united and annexed of before to the said lordship and barony of Inverugie; as also all and whole the lands, lordship and barony of Dunnottar, comprehending specially therein all and sundry the lands, lordships, baronies, offices, with castles, towers, fortalices, mills, woods, fishings, parks, forests, mansions, manors, advocations, donations and rights of patronages, kirks, benefices, chaplainries, altarages, parsonages and vicarages thereof, tenants, tenancies, service of free tenants and others particularly and generally united, annexed and incorporated of before to the said lordship and barony of Dunnottar, together with the advocation, donation and right of patronage of the parsonage and vicarage of Benholm, now annexed and incorporated to the said lordship and barony of Dunnottar, together with the taxed ward of the said lordship and barony of Inverugie of old conveyed by his majesty to the said Lord Keith and his predecessors; and also ratify, approve and confirm another charter and infeftment, donation and disposition therein contained, made, given and granted by our said sovereign lord under his highness's great seal of the said kingdom of Scotland, of the date at Royston, 21 October 1612, to the said William, lord Keith, master of Marischal, his male heirs and of tailzie therein contained, of all and sundry the lands, lordship and barony of Altrie, specially comprehending therein all and sundry the lands, lordships, baronies, mills, woods, fishings, parks, forests, mansions, manors, teind sheaves, other teinds, ferms, annualrents, kanes, customs, casualties, duties, with advocation, donation, right of patronage, tenants, tenancies, service of free tenants and others particularly and generally of old united and annexed to the lordship of Altrie, together with the advocation, donation, right of patronage of the vicarage of Peterhead and prebendary of Deer founded within the cathedral kirk of Aberdeen, with the teind sheaves and other teinds of the lands of Fechil, with the pertinents likewise annexed of before to the said lordship of Altrie, together with the said vicarage of Peterhead and all lands, teinds, fruits, rents of the same now annexed to the said lordship of Altrie as said is, as also all and whole the kirk lands of Dunnottar and Fetteresso, the lands of Clerkinscheillis, the lands of Tulliequhillie, Mallamuck and crofts of Banchrie, the third part of the mill called the Schiref Mill, with multures thereof, parts, pendicles, tenants, tenancies, service of free tenants of the same and all their pertinents, and also all and sundry the crofts, tenements, houses, buildings, yards, acres, annualrents and others whatsoever pertaining to the Brethren of the Preachers and Carmalite Friars of Aberdeen wherever they lie within the kingdom of Scotland, as the said two several charters and infeftments of the dates above-specified at more length is contained, in all and sundry heads, points, clauses, articles, provisions, conditions and circumstances thereof. And his majesty and estates will and declare that this present ratification and approbation is and shall be of as great value, strength, force and effect to the said William, lord Keith and his foresaids for holding, enjoying and possessing of all and sundry the foresaid lands, lordships, baronies, advocation, donation, right of patronage of the kirks above-specified and others particularly above-mentioned perpetually in all time coming, as if the foresaid charters and infeftments were herein word by word engrossed and specially expressed and ratified, reserving always to George, earl Marischal etc., his liferent of all and sundry the foresaid lands, lordships, baronies and others particularly above-written during all the days of his lifetime, and also without prejudice to [George Gledstanes], archbishop of St Andrews and to John Gordon of Cairnborrow regarding whatsoever rights and titles they have to the patronage of the foresaid kirks, feu mails and feu duties of the lands and others above-written according to the law.
