Procedure: summons of treason; continuation of parliament; asking of instruments
The commissioners of this present parliament continue the same with the summons of treason raised at our sovereign lord's instance against John [Maxwell], lord Maxwell, for certain crimes of treason specified therein, and also another summons also raised at our sovereign lord's instance against Robert Logan, eldest son to the late Robert Logan of Restalrig, and his tutors and curators, if he has any, for their interest, for certain crimes of treason committed by his said late father, and all other summonses, actions, causes and matters belonging thereto, to 15 June next; and ordain all our sovereign lord's lieges to await thereon under the pains contained in the acts of parliament of this realm. Upon the fencing of the which parliament, continuation of the same and whole premises above-written, the said [Sir Thomas Hamilton of Binning], lord advocate, asked instruments.
