Procedure: continuation of parliament; asking of instruments

The lords commissioners of this present parliament continue the same with all summons, actions, causes and other matters belonging thereto until 24 April, to be held then at Edinburgh, or where it shall happen the privy council to direct their letters, by open proclamation, and ordain all the estates of parliament and all others of our sovereign lord's lieges to await thereon, under the pains contained in the acts of parliament of this realm. Upon the fencing of the which parliament and continuation of the same and whole premises above-written Sir Thomas Hamilton of Monkland, knight, advocate to our sovereign lord, and for his highness's interest, asked instruments.
