Regarding order to be taken with rebels

2Our sovereign lord and estates, for remedy of the universal contempt and rebellion of such as remains at the horn without fear of God or reverence of justice, statute and ordain that forasmuch as there are many lovable acts of parliament made against the foresaid rebellion, and that lack of execution of the said laws has bred the foresaid contempt, that therefore every sheriff, bailie, stewart and other magistrate put with all rigour the said laws into execution against the said rebels without respect of persons, and ordain the treasurer to do exact diligence in recovering declarator, warding their persons, detaining their houses and apprising their lands and heritages with all rigour for their disobedience.
