For punishment of some disorders of students and bursars

Item, because the bursars, students and masters of colleges are greatly drawn from their studies and ofttimes incurs great damage and peril themselves and do damage to others through their licentious liberty in resorting night and day to free burghs armed with swords, pistols and other weapons, therefore our sovereign lord and estates of this present parliament ordain the provost and bailies of his majesty's free burghs, in case they find the foresaid persons or any of them wandering night or day within their said towns armed in manner above-specified, to take and intromit with their armour and to dispose upon the same as they think good.
