Regarding the declining of the senators of the college of justice who are father, brother or son to the parties

Our sovereign lord, with advice of his estates in this present parliament, statutes and ordains that no senators of the college of justice ordinary or extraordinary shall sit or vote in any action or cause intended or to be intended before them where the parties, pursuer or defender, is either their father, brother or son, so that the father shall in no way be judge in the son's cause, the son in the father's cause, nor the brother in the brother's, but be declined therein.
