The parliament of the most excellent prince James VI, most illustrious king of Scots, held in Edinburgh on 8 June in the year of the Lord 1594, by our supreme lord the king, himself present, with all the estates of the realm, together with George [Keith], earl Marischal, William Henderson, constable depute, Robert Stewart for the sheriff of Edinburgh, and James Nisbet, dempster.
