For punishment of the wilful setting of fire in coal pits

2For the better punishment of the wicked crime of setting of fire in coal pits by some ungodly persons upon private revenge and vexation, it is statute and ordained that the committing of the said crime in any time hereafter shall be treason, and that the committers thereof, being orderly convicted, shall suffer such punishment in bodies, lands and goods as is due by the law in cause of treason.
