Annexation of Kelso and Coldingham to the crown
2Our sovereign lord, with advice of his estates in this present parliament, has annexed and annexes the abbey of Kelso and priory of Coldingham, now vacant by the forfeiture of Francis [Stewart], sometime earl of Bothwell, or disinheriting and disabling of his posterity to possess honours, lands, livings, offices, heritages or benefices within this realm and that this present annexation be as sufficient as any annexation of whatsoever lands, heritages or benefices made to the crown of Scotland in any time bygone.
