Protestation of Adam [Bothwell], bishop of Orkney

2The which day, in presence of our sovereign lord and his estates of parliament, compeared personally Adam, bishop of Orkney and commendator of Holyroodhouse, and protested that whatsoever acts passed in this present parliament regarding the park lying at Holyroodhouse in favour of the tenants and occupiers thereof, that the same shall be in no way prejudicial to any right, liberty, privilege or pasturage he as commendator of Holyroodhouse and his predecessors have had thereto in times bygone, or ought to have of the law, seeing the most part of the said park was taken out of the property of Holyroodhouse.
