[James Drummond], abbot of Inchaffray's protestation in name of [Patrick Drummond], lord Drummond
2The which day, in presence of our sovereign lord and his estates of parliament, compeared personally James, commendator of Inchaffray, and protested that the Duke of Lennox's ratification of the lordship of Methven and Balquhidder prejudice not the Lord Drummond regarding his right of the stewartry of Strathearn within the which the lands of Balquhidder lie; and also protested that the exception granted to Sir John Murray of Tullibardine of the lands of Balquhidder prejudice not the said lord regarding the said office of stewartry of Strathearn.
