Protestation of John Chalmers of Troquhain for [...] Chalmers, widow of the late James Boyd, archbishop of Glasgow

2The which day, in presence of the king's majesty and three estates of parliament, compeared personally John Chalmers of Troquhain and there, in name and behalf of [...] Chalmers, widow of the late James Boyd, archbishop of Glasgow, protested solemnly that the benefit and favour of restitution granted in this present parliament to James Beaton, archbishop of Glasgow shall in no way be hurtful or prejudicial to her and her bairns concerning their rights and titles of whatsoever lands or possessions of the patrimony of the archbishopric of Glasgow or otherwise, notwithstanding the act of ratification of the pacification, restitution and abolition passed generally in this present parliament; and thereupon asked acts and instruments.
