Ratification granted to [George Gordon], earl of Huntly of his office of lieutenancy

2Our sovereign lord, for the good, true and thankful service done to his highness by his right trusty cousin and councillor, George, earl of Huntly, lord Gordon and Badenoch, his highness's lieutenant in the north parts of this realm, with advice of his three estates convened in this present parliament, ratifies, approves and, for his highness and his successors, confirms the commission of lieutenancy and justiciary given and granted by his highness to the said earl; and wills and ordains the same commission to stand and continue in full force and effect, unrevoked or discharged in any sort, during the space of a year coming after the date hereof, and further enduring our sovereign lord's will and until the same be especially discharged by his majesty by advice of his three estates in parliament.
