Ratification granted to Captain Thomas Crawford of Jordanhill

Our sovereign lord, with advice and consent of the three estates convened in this present parliament, ratifies and approves the heritable infeftment of feu ferm made to Captain Thomas Crawford of Jordanhill by Master Archibald Douglas, sometime parson of Glasgow, with consent of the dean, canons and chapter of the metropolitan kirk thereof, of all and whole the lodging and manse, with the yard thereof pertaining to the said parsonage, lying within the city of Glasgow, of the date 20 October 1571, together with the confirmation of our sovereign lord passed upon his charter and infeftment under his highness's great seal, of the date 21 May 1572, in all points, passes, clauses and articles specified therein, so that the said Captain Thomas may peaceably use and enjoy the said lodging and manse, with the yard thereof, likewise and as lawfully and freely as if the said Master Archibald had in no way been declared culpable of the crime above-written, notwithstanding whatsoever acts of parliaments, whereupon, in this case, his highness, with advice of his said estates, dispenses for ever.
