Procedure: oaths taken

[John Hay], marquis of Tweeddale, the earls [John Lindsay, earl of] Crawford, [William Keith, earl] Marischal, [David Carnegie, earl of] Northesk, [John Murray, earl of] Tullibardine and [John Hamilton, earl of] Ruglen, [Thomas Livingston], viscount of Teviot and [Alexander Murray], lord Elibank took the oath of allegiance and subscribed the same with the assurance and association.

Mr James Carnegie of Finavon, Robert Reid of Baldovie, James Scott, younger of Logie, commissioners for the shire of Forfar, and Alexander Dunbar of Westfield, for the shire of Elgin, took the oath of allegiance and subscribed the same with the assurance and association.

Mr Francis Napier [of Craigannet], commissioner for the town of Stirling, Sir Patrick Aikenhead for Dunfermline, Mr David Dalrymple [of Hailes] for Culross, Mr John Lyon for Forfar, Mr William Johnston [of Sciennes] for Annan, Mr Robert Stewart for Dingwall and Sir Alexander Home [of Castlemains] for Kirkwall took the oath of allegiance and subscribed the same with the assurance and association.

And all the foresaid persons took the oath of parliament.
