Order: regarding the export of wool

[Walter Scott, earl of] Buccleuch, [Alexander Stewart, lord] Garlies, [Sir John Murray of] Philiphaugh, [Walter Scott of] Harden, Sir Patrick Murray [of Elibank], Caprington, [Sir George Buchanan of] Buchanan, [Alexander Irvine of] Drum and [John Gordon of] Buckie were absent; [Andrew Riddell of] Riddell, [Sir Archibald Stirling of] Keir and [Sir Robert Arbuthnott of] Arbuthnott are excused. The lords ordain the noblemen, barons and burgesses to convene tomorrow in the morning in the Laigh council-house of Edinburgh and so often thereafter as they shall think suitable, and to reason, treat and confer upon the expedience of his majesty's proposition regarding the matter of the wool, and upon the inconveniences that may follow thereupon to the hurt and prejudice of this country, and to propose and lay down grounds both for and against the purpose foresaid, and to report their opinions relating thereto upon Thursday next.
