Act regarding the union of the lands of Kinninmonth to the kirk of Ceres

Our sovereign lord and estates of parliament, understanding that a reverend father in God, John [Spottiswood], archbishop of St Andrews has for the well and commodity of the tenants and inhabitants of the lands of Kinninmonth, Baldinnie, Ballchuny Mill, Ardynie, Ladeddie Lime Lands, Over and Nether Magask and Balmakie Meadow pertaining heritably to Master Thomas Hope of Craighall, advocate, lying of old within the parish of St Andrews, ordained that they shall repair to the kirk of Ceres in all time coming for hearing of the word, partaking of the sacraments, receiving of the benefit of marriage and other benefits and liberties of a parish kirk; likewise the tenants and inhabitants of the said lands have repaired this long time bygone to the said kirk of Ceres as their parish kirk continually since the date of the said ordinance and of before as the kirk nearest and most commodious for them; therefore his majesty and estates ratify and approve the said act and ordinance made by the said Archbishop of St Andrews regarding the union of the said lands to the said kirk of Ceres, and also by this act dissolve and separate the said lands from the said kirk of St Andrews within the parish whereof they were and lay of old, and unite and annex the same to the said kirk of Ceres, and ordain the tenants and inhabitants of the said lands to repair to the said kirk of Ceres as their parish kirk in all time coming; without prejudice always to the said Master Thomas Hope of Craighall, advocate, of his infeftment of the teind sheaves of the said lands and of his rights of the small and vicarage teinds thereof, made and to be made to him of the same, to the which this act shall make no derogation, but shall remain in the self same estate and condition as they were before the date of this present act.
