Ratification to Captain Patrick Cranston

Our sovereign lord, having consideration of the good, true and thankful service done to his highness by his highness's servant Captain Patrick Cranston, with advice and consent of the estates of this present parliament, ratifies and approves his highness's gifts and dispositions given and granted to the said Captain Patrick of these monks' portions out of the abbacy of Scone, which pertained of before to the late dean Robert Carver, dean John Blaw, dean John Purdaly and dean William Donaldson, and likewise their portions out of the abbacy of Crossraguel which sometime were held and possessed by the late dean John Muir, elder, and dean Michael Dewar, together with all privileges contained in the same; and wills that his said highness's gifts stand in full force and effect to the said Captain Patrick during all the days of his lifetime.
