Our sovereign lord and estates of this present parliament ratify, approve and, for his highness and his successors, perpetually confirm the process, sentence and doom of forfeiture led, prosecuted and pronounced by his highness and estates in parliament held at Edinburgh on 5 June 1592 against Dame Margaret Douglas, countess of Bothwell, James Douglas of Spott, Archibald Wauchope, younger, of Niddrie, Master John Colville of Strathurdie and other persons contained in their process of forfeiture against whom doom is pronounced therein. And likewise our said sovereign lord and his estates ratify and approve and, for his highness and his successors, perpetually confirms the other process, sentence and doom of forfeiture led and prosecuted judicially against Francis, sometime earl of Bothwell ratified and approved in the said parliament held the said 5 June 1592, with the act of deprivation of their posterity made at the said parliament, together with the process, sentence and doom of forfeiture led, prosecuted and pronounced by his highness and estates in the parliament held at Edinburgh, 21 July 1593 against the said Francis, sometime earl of Bothwell, with all conditions, clauses and circumstances thereof. And our said sovereign lord and his said estates statute and ordain all the said processes, sentences and doom of forfeiture and act against the posterity to stand in full strength, force and effect and to have due execution in all time coming, and the clerk register and his deputes to register the same.
