†Our sovereign lord and estates of this present parliament ratify, approve and confirm the charter and infeftment made by his majesty after his highness's perfect age of 21 years complete, declared in parliament to James Drummond, eldest lawful son to Patrick [Drummond], lord Drummond, and his male heirs and of tailzie mentioned therein, of all and sundry the lands, lordships, baronies, offices, privileges and others of the lordship and living of Drummond specified in the said charter, with all and sundry other heads, clauses and articles contained in the same, after the form and tenor thereof in all points, reserving to the said Patrick, lord Drummond's liferent of the same, as the said charter and infeftment thereupon of the date 16 March 1588 [1589] bears.
