Parliament of the most excellent prince James VI, king of Scots, held and begun at Edinburgh on 3 April 1592 by the lords commissioners of our supreme lord the king appointed above by his commission given under testimony of the great seal, dated at Linlithgow on 22 March last, namely Adam [Bothwell], bishop of Orkney, Alexander [Colville], commendator of Culross, James [Douglas], commendator of Melrose, Ed[ward] [Bruce], commendator of Kinloss, William [Douglas], earl of Morton, Master Richard Cock[burn], heir apparent of Clerkington, secretary of our supreme lord the king, Sir John Cockburn of Ormiston, justice clerk, William Little, provost of Edinburgh, Nicholas Cornwall of Bonhard, provost of Linlithgow, with James Mathieson, marischal depute, James Kinloss, constable depute, Master James Foulis, depute of the sheriff of Edinburgh, and James Nisbet, dempster. The suits called and the court fenced.
