The parliament of our said supreme lord the king held in the great hall of the palace of Linlithgow on 4 December in the year of the Lord 1585, in the presence of the king and the three estates of the realm, together with Francis [Hay], earl of Erroll, constable, James Keith of Canterland, marischal depute, Philip White, sheriff depute of Linlithgow, and James Matheson, dempster, and the officials of parliament formerly sworn in, as above.
