Ratification granted to St Leonard's College in St Andrews

Our sovereign lord, with advice of the three estates of this present parliament, has ratified, approved and confirmed and, by the tenor hereof, ratifies, approves and confirms the donation and charter made and granted of the priory of Portmoak possessed by Master John Winraham, prior thereof, and annexation of the same to the principal masters and members of St Leonard's College within the University of St Andrews, the liferent of the said priory being reserved to the said Master John, with all points, articles and clauses contained therein, after the form and tenor thereof, as the said donation and charter of the date 29 July 1580 at more length purports; as also of all other rents and duties conveyed to the said college by our said sovereign lord and his predecessors in times bygone, providing always that this present ratification and confirmation in no way hurts nor prejudices Master John Stewart, provost of Stirling and constable of the castle thereof, concerning his pension of £20 granted to him out of the said priory, whereof he has been in possession these diverse years bygone, and ordains letters to be directed to make publication hereof, if need be.
