Oure soverane lord and estaittis of this present parliament ratiefies and apprevis the tua infeftmentis respective eftermentionat, viz: ane of the saidis infeftmentis maid, gevin and grantit be his majestie under his hienes gryit seale to his majesties trustie and weilbelovit familiar servitour Jhonne Murray off Lochmaben, his aires and assignais quhatsumevir heretablie off the landis and barony of Lochmaben, comprehending the landis, baronies and utheris particularlie and generalie efter specifit, viz: the landis and baronie of Lochmaben; the heretable office of custodie and keiping of the castell and fortalice of Lochmaben; the heretable office of the stewartrie of Annandaill; the advocatione, donatione and right of patronage of the paroche kirk of Lochmaben, personage and viccarage thairoff; all and sindrie the teindschevis and utheris teindis, alsueill personage as viccarage, fructis, rentis, emolimentis and dewties quhatsumevir of the paroche kirkis and parochines of Reidkirk and Gratney, with thair pertinentis; the landis and baronye of Arikstane; the advocatione, donatioun and right of patronage of the paroche kirk of Wanfrey, personage and viccarage thairoff; the landis and baronie off Bruchtoun; the castelsted of Faulkland; office of forrestarie of Faulkland and of all woddis, medowes, schawis and deiris thairoff; the office of bigging and uphalding of the saidis wallis, dyikis and pealling of the said medow and woddis with the feyis, casualities, proffittes and dewties pertening and belanging to the said office; all and haill the sex merk land of the manis of Lincluden, the sex merk land of Crochane, alias Carrowchane, with the milne of Staikfurde and certane uther landis quhilkis pertenit of auld to the provestrie of Lincluden; the advocatioun, donatione and rycht of patronage of the paroche kirk of Annand, personage and viccarage thairoff, togidder with certane uther landis, baronies, kirkis, teindis, offices and utheris mentionat in the said infeftment, quhilk is of the date at Quhytehall, the fourt day off Marche, the yeir of God jM vjC and sevintene yeiris; and the uther of the saidis infeftmentis maid, gevin and grantit be his majestie under his hienes great seall to the said Johnne Murraye of Lochmaben, his aires and assignais foirsaidis, off the landis and baronie of Haliewode, comprehending the landis, kirkis, teyndis and utheris particularlie and generalie thairin mentionate, quhilkis pertenit of auld to the abbacie of Haliewode, spiritualitie and temporalitie thairoff, quhilk infeftment is of the date at Quhyithall, the nynt day of Apryill, the yeir of God jM vjC and auchtene yeiris, togidder with the preceptis and instrumentis of seasing following upoun the saidis infeftmentis respective in all and sindrie heiddis, articles, clauses and conditiounes thairin contenit efter the formes and tennouris thairof; and statutes and ordanis this present ratificatione to be als valide, effectuall and sufficient in all respectis as gif the infeftmentis respective above specifit, preceptis and instrumentis of seasing following thairupoun wer at lenth and worde be worde insert heirintill. And farder, oure said soverane lord and estaittis foirsaidis, for the gude, trew and thankfull service done to his majestie be the said Johnne Murraye in attending upone his majesties sacred persone continewally sen his majesties youthe, quhilk service his majestie and estaittis foirsaidis hes tryit and found to have bene verie proffitable to his majestie and to this realme and liegis thairoff and worthie of renumeratione, thairfore his majestie and estaittis foirsaidis hes dissolvit and dissolvis all and sindrie the baronies, offices, kirkis, teyndis, with the advocatiounes, donationes and right of patronages and utheris mentionat and contenit in the saidis tua infeftmentis, and lyikwayes all and sindrie the landis and utheris efterspecifit, viz: the aucht merk land of Hilmanis, with the toure, fortalice, maner place, milne thairoff, milnelandis, multouris and sequellis of the samene; the advocatioun, donatioun and rycht of patronage of the paroche kirk and parochin off Lytle Datoun, personage and viccarge thairoff; the fourtie schilling land of [...]; fourtene aikeris of the aucht merk land off Auldtoun; the tua merk, sex schilling, aucht pennye land in the toun of Ruthvell, with the saltcoittis thairoff; the landis of Kirkstyill; the landis of Raffetlis, Robiequhat and Howchattis; the milne of Mekle Datoun, milnelandis, multouris and sequellis thairoff, with the advocatioun, donatioun and right of patronage of the paroche kirk and parochin of Mekle Datoun, personage and viccarage thairoff; the fourtie schilling land of Copewode; the fourtie s. land of Bengalhill, with thair maner places, housis, biggingis, yairdis, orcheartis, milnes, mylnelandis, multeris and sequellis thairoff, woddis, fischeingis, tennentis, tenandries and service of frie tennentis, annexis, connexis and outseattis, pairtis, pendicles and pertinentis off the samen quhatsumevir lyand within the said stewartrie of Annandaill; the tenementis, housis and yairdis lyand besyid the Brigend of Drumfreis quhilkis pertenit of auld to the sacristeris and prebendaries of the colledge kirk of Lincluden, lyand within the stewartrie of Kirkcudbright; and all and haill the fyve pund land of Traqueir, with the annexis, connexis, pairtes, pendicles and pertinentis thairoff, lyand within the stewartrie of Kirkcudbright, fra his majesties croun and patrimonie thairoff and fra all actis of annexatioun maid be his majestie or his hienes predicessouris quhairby the landis and utheris foirsaidis, or onye pairt thairoff, wer annexit to his majesties croun and fra all abbacies and benefices quhairunto the samene wes annexit or pertenit of before, to the effect his majestie may giff, grant and dispone the samen to the said Johnne Murraye and the aires maill lauchfullie gottin or to be gottin of his awin bodie; quhilkis failyeing, to his aires quhatsumevir lauchfullie gottin or to be gottin of his awin bodie; quhilkis failyeing, to his nerrest and lauchfull aires maill beiring the surname and armes of Murraye and thair assigneyis quhatsumevir heretablie, togidder with all richt, title, interes and clame of right quhilk his majestie, his hienes predicessouris or successouris hade, have or onywayes may have or clame thairto, or ony pairt thairoff, in tyme cuming; to be haldin of his majestie and his successouris in forme and maner as followes, viz: the landis, baronies, kirkis, offices, teyndis and utheris contenit in the saidis tua infeftmentis to be haldin of his majestie and his successouris in forme and maner and for payment of the dewties mentionat in the saidis tua infeftmentis respective, and the remanent particuler landis and utheris abovementionat to be haldin of his majestie and his successouris in frie blenche for the yeirlie payment of the soume of fourtie schillingis at the feast of Witsonday in name of blenche ferme. And als his majestie and estaittis foirsaidis hes exceptit and, be thir presentis, exceptis the rightis and infeftmentis maid and grantit be his majestie to the said Johnne Murray of the advocatioun, donatioun and right of patronages of the foirsaidis kirkis of Lochmaben, Wanfray and Annand, personages and viccarages thairoff, and of all uther kirkis and teyndis mentionat in the saidis infeftmentis fra the act of parliament made in the monethe of Junii, jM vC fourescore threttene yeiris, intitulat 'Anent infeftmentis gevin be his majestie with new right of patronage', and declairis the said act of parliament nawayes to be extendit to the infeftmentis, rightis and tytillis maid be his majestie to the said Johnne Murraye of the saidis kirkis and right of patronages thairoff at anye tyme preceiding the date of thir presentis, bot that the saidis infeftmentis and rychtes made and grantit be his majestie to the said Johnne Murraye off the saidis kirkes and rightis of patronages thairoff ar and salbe als valide, effectuall and sufficient in all respectis as gif the samene had bene made and grantit be his majestie with consent of the titularis thairoff for the tyme; quhairanent his majestie and estaittis foirsaidis dispensses for evir.
