Oure soverane lord, estaittis and haill bodie of this present parliament, for thame and thair successours, ratifies, approvis and confermis the lettir of pensioun gevin and grantit be his majestie to his trustye and weilbelovit counsellor Schir William Olyphant of Newtoun, knycht, his hienes advocat, during all the dayes of his lyftyme, off all and haill the sowme of ane thowsand pundis money of the realme of Scotland, to be upliftit and tane at twa termes in the yeir, Witsounday and Martymes in winter, be equall portiones, furth of the first and reddiest of his hienes rentis and casualities ayther of the thesaurarie or comptrollarie of the said kingdome, to be payit in maner foirsaid be the officiaris of recept thairof, in all and sindrie pointes, heidis, articles, clauses and conditiones of the same, as in the said letter of pensioun of the dait at Roystoun, the aucht day of Aprile, the yeir of God ane thowsand sex hundreth and ellevin yeris, and of his hienes reignne the fouretye foure and nyne yeris, at mair lenth is contenit; and willis and declaris this present ratificatioun to be of als great strenth, force and effect as gif the said lettre of pensioun, haill tennoure and contentis thairof wer word be word at lenth insert heirin; quhairanent oure said soverane lord and estaittis of parliament dispenses be thir presentis. Lykas oure soverane lord, estaittis and haill bodie of this present parliament declaris and decernis the foirnemmyt lettir of pensioun to be ane lauchfull, valide and sufficient richt to the said Schir William for bruiking, joysing and uplifting of the said yeirlie pensioun at the termes and in maner specifeit thairin, and that notwithstanding quhatsomevir actis, constitutiones or discharges that may appeir or may be extendit or interprite in the contrar, ayther speciall or generall, to the quhilkis and everie ane of thame this present act makis expres and full dirogatioun; ordaning alsua his hienes officiares of recept, present and to cum, to mak thankfull payment to the said Schir William of the foirsaid yeirlie pensioun at the termes and in maner thairin contenit during his lyftyme as said is.
