The quhilk day the kingis majestie, with the advyis of the estaittis present, hes ratifeit, approvin and authorizit the act of counsall underwryttin annexing the annuitie of Ingland to the office of the thesaurarie etc. with this additioun: that nane salbe directit heireftir for resaveing or hame bringing thairoff bot be expres consent of his hienes thesaurer present and being for the tyme haid and obteinit thairto be wryt, quhairof quhatevir pairt salbe allowit to ony persone quhatsumevir salbe be warrand subject be his majestie and his said thesaurer, off the quhilk act the tennour followis: The kingis majestie and lordis of his hienes secreit counsall, perfyitlie understanding how that be the daylie greit increse of necessair debursingis in thair hienes, the prince and princess maist honorabill effairis and furnissingis, his hienes thesaurarie is of the self becum unabill to discharge the burding quhilk presentlie it underlyis, quhairthrow not onlie is the said office in the yeirlie comptis thairof excessivelie superexpendit, bot thair majesties service lyikwyis greitlie hinderit in the meantyme for want of present moyen to furneis to thair honorable necessiteis; for remeid quhairof, his majestie and consall foirsaid have assignit, appropriat and annext and be this present act assignis, appropriatis and annexis inseperablie to the said thesaurarie the yeirlie annuitie quhilk his majestie sall ressave heireftir furth of Ingland, to remane in all tyme cuming with the said office as a propir pairt and pertinent thairof, and to be yeirlie upliftit and intromettitwith be his hienes thesaurer present and being for the tyme, and haillelie employit upoun thair majesties, the prince and princess abuilyementis and apparrell, excepting only fyve hundreth punds stirling money assignit to the sustentatioun of the prince; declairing all uther giftis and assignationis of the samyn, or ony pairt thairof (excepting only befoir exceptit), to be null and of nane availl, force nor effect in all tyme cuming. And to the intent that the yeirly proffeit that may aryis of his majesties casualiteis be not heireftir hinderit or prejudget be anterior grantis thairof in favouris of particular personis befoir the same cum to the knawlege or compositioun of his hienes officiar, or, efter compositioun, maid ineffectuall be preceptis or dischargis, his majestie, in presens off his counsall foirsaid, promittis in his princelie word to forbeir in tyme to cum ony his grant or gift of ony ward and mariage or uthair casualitie of importance in favouris of ony persone quhatsuevir, bot to remitt and leive the samyn to be componit for be his hienes office to his majesties greitest proffeit and commoditie. And lyik wyis that his hienes sall in tyme cuming subscryve na preceptis nor dischargis to ony persone bot be advyis of consall sittand consenting be this present, and ordaneing that in tyme cuming na discharge nor precept salbe ressavit nor allowit heireftir to the said thesaurer in his comptis bot sic as salbe first approvin be the said consall and testifeit be the subscryptioun of a full number sittand.
