Oure soverane lord, with advyis of his estaitis in this present parliament, ratefeis, apprevis and confirmis the acquittance maid, gevin and subscryvit be his majestie, with advyis of the lordis of his secreit counsale and comptroller, to the provest, bailleis, counsale, deaconis of craftis and communitie of the brughe of Perthe upoun the resseit fra thame of the sowme of tuelff thousand pundis as a pert of his majesteis tocher deliverit to tham, togidder with the yeirlie proffeit of the said sowme of tuelff thousand pundis, as the said acquittance of the dait at the castell of Striveling, the nynt day of Julii the yeir of God jM vC lxxxxiiij yeiris and actit and registrat in the buikis of secreit counsale upon the sextene day of the said monethe of Julii at lenthe beris in all and sindrie poyntis, clauses and articlis contenit thairintill, efter the forme and tennour thairof and conform to his hienes princelie promeis maid to this effect.
