Oure soverane lord, with avise of his estaitis, ordanis and declaris that all his fewaris, tenentis and possessouris of his awin propre landis within the lordschip, stewartrie and schirefdome of Fyff, in respect thay pay greit males, fermes and dewties [to] his majestie, and nevir hes bene in use of payment of ony taxatioun or impost rasit be his hienes or his predicessouris in tymes bypast, bot evir hes bene fred and frie thairof, thairfoir oure said soverane lord, with avise of the estaitis of this present perliament, decernis and ordanis the saidis fewaris, firmoraris and tennentis, thair aris and successouris within the said lordschip, stewartrie and schirefdome in all tyme to cum and quhen it salhappin oure said soverane lord and his successouris to rais or lift ony taxatioun within this realme, this present act and ordinace of perliament to be ane sufficient discharge to the saidis fewaris and tennentis of the same; and exoneris and discharges thame of all taxatioun be thir presentis bygane and to cum, and all schireffis, stewartis and officiaris of forder trubling of thame for the same and of thair offices in that pert.
